This non-accredited course is designed for individuals working in sports trainer roles in the Australian sports industry who need to refresh their knowledge and skills on the strategies to prevent sport-specific injuries and manage injuries, illnesses and medical conditions.
This includes applying taping for ongoing injury prevention and post-injury support.

Course Delivery
This course can be delivered/assessed in the workplace or at facility organised by the training provider.
Course Durations
Course durations can vary for multiple reasons, so the durations below are the minimum possible amount.
Face-to-Face face-to-face contact time of at least 4 Hours Online with face-to-face assessment face-to-face contact time of at least 1 Hour
Entry Requirements
An individual undertaking this course with Allens Training Pty Ltd will need to demonstrate the following to be eligible for entry:
- Physical capability to be able to meet the demands of the practical demonstration skills
- Wearing appropriate attire to allow demonstration of different taping techniques
Online study options: students must have access to a computer, smartphone, tablet or other electronic devices with access to the internet to complete the online studies.
Assessment Requirements
Individuals undertaking this course will be expected to complete both written and practical assessment tasks.
Certificate Renewal Requirements
This certificate does not require renewal
Assessment Activities
Assessments conducted during face-to-face training session(s) include:
Performance Task – Students will demonstrate three of the below:
- Finger Taping
- Thumb Taping
- Elbow Taping
- Ankle Taping
- Knee Taping
- Achillies Tendon Taping
Theory assessment - A written assessment consisting of multiple-choice questions.
